1. C-INSIGHT – Client Installation


    1. Client Prerequisite

Before starting the C-INSIGHT client installation (MSI) need to validate following:

  1. Client HW according to project spec.
  2. Client is installed with Windows 10 Pro 64.
  3. Client is joined to domain controller.
  4. Client time zone & Clock are sync with NTP server.
  5. Firewall is disable.
  6. User Access Control is set to “Never Notify.”
  7. Make sure Microsoft Visual C++ is installed:


    1. Client Certification


  • Verify Client certification is installed:
    • Start 🡪 run 🡪 mmc 🡪 file 🡪 add/remove Snap-in..

    • Select “certification” and “ADD” to right panel.


    • Select “Computer account” 🡪 Next 🡪 Finish 🡪 OK



    • Right click 🡪 “Personal” 🡪 All Tasks 🡪 Request New Certificate s:


                       

    • Select Next 🡪 Next 
    • In Next screen select the 2 C4I certificate’s 🡪 Enroll

                       

    • Verify Enroll is successful


                       


    1. Client 3rd Party Software Installation:

Install the following 3rd party application on each workstation:

  1. Notepad ++
  2. Trace32 
  3. Google Chrome
  4. Microsoft SQL Server Compact 4.0 Setup
    1. SSCERuntime_x64-ENU
    2. SSCERuntime_x64-ENU_SP1
  5. AccessDatabaseEngine_X64
  6. Vega Prime 15
    1. Vega_Prime_15_Win64_VC12_x64 
    2. Vega_Prime_Resources_15_Win
    3. License_Tool_4.0_Win32_x86
  7. Copy Project MAP to E:\Maps




    1. C-INSIGHT Client Installation:


  1. Login to workstation as c4isrv user
  2. Copy the MSI to C:\install folder
  3. Right click on MSI 🡪 install 



       

  1. The welcome screen appears.


         

  1. Click Next.


       

  1. Click next.









  1. The Custom setup screen appears 

     


  1. Unmark server, CIT and Database. (Only “Client” should be checked)
  2. Click Next.
  3. The Client/CIT Configuration screen appears. 


     

  1. In server Name: one of The App Server names / IP.
  2. Check the ‘IsRemote’ box: When client does not reside under the same machine as the server, this should be checked.
  3. The Ready to Install CityMIND screen appears.

     

  1. Click Install.


   

  1. Click Finish.



    1. C-INSIGHT Client Post Installation configuration:



  1. Copy the CityMINDMap.exe file to C:\CityMind\Application\ folder. 
  2. Copy the CityMINDMap.cky file to C:\CityMind\Application\ folder.
  3. Copy the Map_VP5.acf file to C:\CityMind\Application\ACF\ folder.
  4. Copy all shapes files to C:\CityMind\Application\Map\Shapes\* folder.




    1. Vega Prime:


This chapter explains how to install Vega Prime 15 and license tool.

Vega Prime is map engine software CityMIND client used.

It is mandatory to have NVIDIA Graphic card (i.e NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080) and Driver installed on workstation before starting the Vega prime installation.


      1. Vega Prime Installation:


  1. Go open Vega Prime installation folder.
  2. Verify that both EXE exist in same folder. 
    1. Vega_Prime_15_Win64_VC12_x64.exe
    2. Vega_Prime_Resources_15_Win.exe


         



  1. Double click at the “Vega_Prime_15_Win64_VC12_x64.exe” file 


             

  1. On License setup screen select first option.  


       





  1. Continue with default options on all other screens until installation is completed.
  2. The “Vega_Prime_Resources_15_Win.exe” will be installed automatically  






















      1. Vega Prime License Tool 4.2:


Vega Prime require a license file to run, the license tool enable the license file to provide for this workstation.

To install the license on your system, please follow these steps: 

  1. Double click on “License_Tool_4.2_Win.exe”

  1. Press “Next” until installation is completed.


  1. Go to “C:\Presagis\flexlmCRO”
  2. Start the Presagis License Tool (LicenseTool.exe) as administrator 
    (Right-Click -> Run as administrator).
  3. Make sure to copy the license for this Client to the folder.
  4. Select the 'Install License(s)' option and then press 'Next' to advance to the Add a New License pane. 



  1. Browse to the key file (.wri or .txt).


         

  1. Press the 'Add' button to validate and store the license data on your system. You should get a message box that states that the license data looks OK. 


  1. Press the 'Next' button, then View/Test - You should now be at the View Available Licenses pane. 

       

  1. Press 'Finish' to exit the Presagis License Tool.
