C-Insight SYSTEM CHECK PROCEDURE - Chiapas
Purpose & Scope
- This document describes sanity procedure need to be perform on site for verifying system is working properly.
- This procedure can be executed only by trained and certify C-Insight system personal
- Following variation should be done on all C-Insight related servers in the data center.
- Verify all servers and client are running with same time and sync with NTP server.
The Active Directory must have same time with all servers and clients.
- Login to SUB CA server and verify it is running correctly
- Verify there are no active alarms in PRTG monitoring with site NOC team
- Review the health check report and verify normal CPU / memory and disk utilization on all severs appear in the result. Example:
- Following test / verification should be done on all C-Insight application servers
- Open CIT and Verify all Hosts and BU’s are up and appear “green”
(Permission BU & Central Logger are red – this is ok)
- Open SQL Server Configuration manager
- verify all services are running
- Check Backup plan history and verify backup is running with no errors
- VulcanAuditDB
- VulcanDB
- Verify backup job run every 10 min !!!
- Open chrome browser with Elastic Plugin
- verify all nodes are up and no errors appear
- verify new index per detection type is created and total records is growing (LPR, generic, mobile)
- Open Kibana web interfaces 🡪 http://[KIBANA IP]:5601
(exampld: http://10.29.113.25:5601/app/kibana)
- Go to dashboard and verify it is available
Login to ECS S3 storage using web browser to storge IP:

Verify following:
- Dashboard - Node is available
- Dashboard – Free spaces
- Monitoring 🡪 Events 🡪 Alerts - no critical alerts
- Following client test purpose is to ensure that C-Insight client application is functioning properly
- Open C-INSIGHT Client and verify client is open with all 3 screens (Video, USAP, and Data) with no errors. Check client logs and verify no critical error appear in the log
- Open C-Insight client with Shift Manager user.
- Go to ‘Management’ tab, open ‘Dashboard’ module.
- Verify the status of cameras displayed in Dashboard
- Verify that all the cameras are online
- Verify that all the cameras are recording
- If there are cameras which are not online\not showing recorded video, report to SYM IT team.
- Export Faulty Sensors and send it to CIS focal point
- In list type, filter for “CCTV”
- Export Faulty Sensor (save file as .xls) and send it to SYM focal point.
- Open a new page, set the layout to four tiles and drag cameras to all the video tiles.
- You should select PTZ & Fixed Cameras
- Take control over PTZ and pan tilt and zoom the camera
- Watch the live feed and verify that there are no freezes in the video stream.
- If there is no live video, check that you receive live video in milestone.
- If there is no video in milestone, report to CIS team.
- Locate the camera on the USAP
- Open instant replay of 6 random cameras
- Open Recorded Video from last night from 6 random cameras.
- Verify recording time is accurate.
- Verify MAP is open and response properly
- Locate sensor on MAP
- Navigate it to a place that has cameras around it. Right click on that spot and choose “Show Covering Sensors” -> make sure that you get the sensors that surrounds this spot
- Activate FOV of camera on MAP and verify FOV appear.
- Go to Data/Reports and Verify all report are available.
- Login to C-Insight Client shift manager and check LPR dashboard status
- Open investigation and verify that new LPR detection are added to system.
- Verify detection appear with all information and pictures.
- Login to each LPR server and open NS GUI
- Verify all LPR Cameras are working and sending data (counter column)
